I believe I had admitted before that I don't subscribe to any RSS feeds. If not, I am admitting it now. The reason being, is that I personally would rather give the Web sites traffic by visiting them daily. I have bookmarks, and I prefer the "old school" way of checking on news. I think it also keeps my memory in tact, because I often have to memorize and remember my "morning Web site URL's." I also find it nice to appreciate the time put into the design of the Web site that I enjoy so much.
But I have come to the realization that I am very old fashioned, and that I should have at least a couple of Web sites that I subscribe to (via RSS). Also, I realized that by subscribing the RSS feed, I am also helping that blog or Web site just as much as giving them daily traffic. After the last free theme I created, I got quite a few e-mails of people asking if I had any more themes available. I decided it would be best to put my effort towards themes that have extra features, and premium designs! Thus, I created a WordPress theme store specially for Hell Yeah Dude fans and readers! Attending conferences and events representing your blog or brand has been proven to not only help you network your name to a niche group of people, but improve your street credibility among other bloggers and businesses. For example; if blog about WordPress development, then your niche category is obviously WordPress development. In that situation attending something like
WordCamp might be very beneficial to your new brand.
At these events, you are able to network with the interesting people that represent the blog that you might read. Many times you can learn something new just by engaging in a physical conversation with other bloggers. Once you put a face to the business, it's only human nature to begin trusting someone just enough to maybe give away one or two secrets.
