A Gift to Designers, Rockwell [the font] for free!
Rockwell is a great font that has seen its usages on many websites. It is a little last year, but you know what. I think it looks good on a lot of interesting typography driven websites and graphic styles. To promote our website we are hoping this will drag in some traffic. Rockwell is a paid font, please visit Veer and pay your debts responsibly. We hope we won’t get a S&D letter from offering this. But you know what, fonts shouldn’t cost money anyway! (I take that back, support all designers, please)

If I’m wrong I apologise, but it looks to me like you’re giving away somebody elses $150 font, without their permission?
I can’t believe as a designer yourself you think you can do that, you clearly have no respect for copyright. I’m baffled.

To better answer your question / comment, yes we do respect others for their work. Rockwell has been around for a long enough time to earn its full potential of income. Sort of like, how you see movies on Cable TV after a certain number of years. We don’t want to compare to that nature, so we realize that this is only a promotional tool and that the download will not be available for much longer. It is being offered as a way to promote the new growth of the website. Plus, I am sure you pirate music. If you look in the post, we link to Veer. Anyone who would like to download the font can feel free, but if they are insecure about feeling as if they are “stealing” from the creator, we insist they buy the font. Similar to how pirated music tells others, if you like the music, buy it! We are merely offering a way to try it, if you like it, buy it! We didn’t offer all the forms of Rockwell, only the one single family. Thank you for your feedback and we hope you come back to start up some more discussion!
