Podcast 001: The introduction to the redesign of HellYeahDude.com — A message from the owner

by Patrick Algrim

The very first podcast from Hell Yeah Dude - I introduce the redesign and the process behind the new design. I go through a little background history of our previous design, and the style of design I wanted to keep. I talk about the way we want to be a publication and how we represent that style in our branding. I talk a little bit about grid layout and how it is becoming more of a rule and less of a design fad. I talk about the quick design process of the work, and how it was accomplished in about seven days.

A quick explanation of what your going to hear

I talk about the feedback that we have already gotten, some of the great comments we have received and how much we honestly appreciate that. I say the word “you know” quite a bit, due to the fact that I live in Chicago. I throw a couple of great shout-outs to people who deserve it and people you might find interesting.

  • Shout out to Gary Vaynerchuck for sending me an e-mail complimenting me on the new redesign
  • Shout out to Naz Hamid of Weightshift and NZRN for being of the great Chicago designers and inspiring me
