Tuesday Tracks: Chuck Anderson at the Threadless Chicago store

Friday night I attended an art show for Chuck Anderson featured at the Threadless store here in Chicago. My good friend Josh and I decided it might be kind of interesting to check out the Threadless store for the first time. I must admit, I was pretty excited to see the first store created by Web and graphic designers. When I first saw the place, I was a little shocked by the bright blue neon sign—though I quickly drew a smile knowing that I had found it! I stepped inside with my friend and first thought it was a little small, but I liked it. I walked upstairs to where some of Chuck Anderson’s artwork was being shown, and I instantly liked the atmosphere. It was simple and easily showcased some of his amazing work. Chuck Anderson has been known as NoPattern for quite some time now, and I have seen his artwork throughout the years grow in a very positive direction. I really think this artist is a good representation of Chicago.
I remember picking up the Lupe Fiasco CD and thinking the artwork on the cover was just amazing. I found out at the event that Chuck Anderson was the creator behind this amazing cover. I could tell that there were some walk-in viewers as I heard them asking their friends what Threadless was. Overall I found the evening to be fun. While I didn’t spend much time browsing around, I felt it was a nice showcase for Chuck’s work—and I thought I might share some of it with you. If you haven’t seen Chuck’s work, check it out here.
