Yosigo
Collected On Apr 13, 2010Yosigo is amazing. Honestly, one of the hardest photo sets I have ever had to go through and pick just one image to show. Every set has it’s own character, but coordinates with Yosigo’s style. From the blank canvas style architectural urban shots, to interesting people-watching shots, there’s no bound to the greatness here. If you can’t appreciate the work, I dare you to try and match what he’s done. You won’t be able to. The Aqualand set is one of my favorites as well.
Pen Pencil Stencil Toys
Collected On Apr 12, 2010Mark Giglio is the man behind Pen Pencil Stencil, a pretty incredible studio of work. From printed material to 3D objects and toys. The objects are my favorite part. We are becoming more and more inclined as designers to start producing tangible materials. But not just posters, actually getting down and dirty with some wood, and shaping fine creations. This piece you see was available for sale, but quickly sold out. I suggest you browse all of Mark’s work, as well as his store, as you’ll surely be eagerly awaiting the next creations.
Laurent Nivalle
Collected On Apr 8, 2010Some crazy amazing photographs by Laurent Nivalle. I love photography that makes me feel warm. Maybe it’s because of Chicago always being cold, but I just love the fact that I can look at some photo’s, and almost feel like I am on vacation. Awesome work Laurent.
The Hill-Side Ties
Collected On Apr 8, 2010The Hill-Side, a Brooklyn based tie company has really encapsulated my personal sense of style as of late. I’ve been really seeking out the work look. Probably because I have been working so much, but I think it’s just a nice medium of maturity mixed with well dressed materials. The Hill-Side is on my list of wants as of now, with these ties you can’t go wrong. The photograph above, from their Spring/Summer collection embodies my person today.
Rite in the Rain
Collected On Apr 7, 2010I may have been sleeping on these little guys, so excuse me if I am late to the game. But as of late I have been more and more interested in products that mature with age. It’s extremely rare and usually more expensive to buy products that look better over time. I’d be interested to see if these notepads would do the same, especially with their waterproof approval. I still support my Field Notes (Chicago representation), but with Rite in the Rain waterproofing, I’d love to see if these age well. Pick them up for only $4 at Hickoree’s, a super amazing hard goods online store.
Exclusive 5 minute look at Exit Through the Gift Shop
Collected On Apr 6, 2010Released yesterday on the official Banskyfilm YouTube channel is an exclusive look into the film. About 5 minutes worth of what the film is generally going to be about. The trailer was great, it got me super excited to see what was going to happen. But now these clips make me even more excited, such a horrible tease.
